| wow, it has been a long time since I have been on here. My last entry was going on four semesters ago. A lot happened that time. I have gotten used to school here at Geneva, I have had 5 official roommates, 6 if you count the one living with me know even though he is not official my roommate. I am a Communications major with a theater concentration (which does not actually exist any more) and a student ministries minor. I have been in two plays since being here. In spring of 2010 I am going to Rome, Italy for a semester to study humanities. One of the major events that have happened to me since coming here took place toward the end of last semester. I got quite ill, most of you have heard this story, but for those of you who did not, I had pneumonia, mono and two ear infections. That is all over with now, but it was quite an adventure. If I did not say it before I greatly appreciate all the prayers and support. Any way this semester is pretty crazy. I have two ten page papers due at the end of the month as well as various other projects and normal homework to keep up with. Fun times. in other news I am also an executive in the Dagorhir club at Geneva. For those of you who do not know what Dag. (that is what we call it for short) is a sport in which we build medieval style foam weapons and battle with them. | An update for the faithful few who still check my site. Christmas break has been CRAZY SWEET! I Have gone to 4 Christmas dances, went and got ALL my Christmas gifts on Christmas eve, have been putting off reading I need to do for school play... though I do not know why it should be fun... , enjoyed hanging out with friends and family, catching up on sleep, and am currently enjoying some country music. My most exciting gift this Christmas was an extremely unexpected tuxedo. That is right a Tuxedo! It makes me very happy. I could not believe I actually got one when I opened it. So that is me in a nut shell, or more specifically a walnut shell. Hope you all have been enjoying break! | Hello all... for anyone who still happens to check my site, though it is rather dormant and out of date. I figured I would give an up date. I am at Geneva College, waiting around until this evening when I leave for Rochester NY for thanksgiving. Yay Family!!! I have been doing decently enough though yesterday was rather stressful. Long story that one is, but the results are that I think I might be able to make it to the Christmas ball after all, and I have a way to get to NY. Finals are coming up soon... *whimpers pathetically*... then I will be home to see all my wonderful peeps. Some good news, I got in next semester's school play. "Androcles and the Lion", I am part of the ensemble. It should be fun. God is good. Maybe I will update sometime later.. bye bye. signed TDTFreak | | |
| So I figured that enough people were asking how I was doing that it was time for an update. Life is going pretty well here, I should be studying science right now, but I decided to do this update first. I just got a meningitis shot, not as bad as I was expecting so that was nice. Other than that life is going pretty well I am taking 15 credits including: Intro Old Testament Bib., Learning and Transition (a required class for freshmen), Intro to Science, Intro to Psychology, Intro to Student Ministries, and a PE coarse. Other than that I have joined Geneva's Dagorhir club (if you do not know what that is go to youtube and search for: Geneva College Dagorhir). It is pretty much sweet. My roommate and I are getting along just fine.... though he likes to debate and argue... a lot!! He actually reminds me a lot of my brother. I have made some other friends here as well, and recently attended the first swing dance class of the year. Hopefully there will be a swing class once a week on Friday or Saturday. The food here is not half bad, though some of it reminds me of my mom's cooking (except when she makes it, it is much better!) and then I start missing home. For the most part though I have ajusted well and am getting used to college life. Though I am not sure I will ever get used to being this tired all the time. Well that is about all I have time for now, I had better get going. Sorry if I jump from topic to topic a little, I just wrote things as I thought of them. | So, I am at college. They are keeping me pretty busy here. I went on a cannoe trip with a bunch of other fresmen. that was fun... except for the part about it raining for two days solid... and being cold... an imposible to get my feet warm.... and cold soked shoes... But it was lots of fun anyway and I got to meet a bunch of cool people. Last night the college took the fresmen out to eat and to a movie. we saw a movei calld "Radio" It was pretty good, but the lazangna that I had at the resturaunt started disagreeing with me when I got back to the dorm.. oh well, I had fun.
